Striding horse by Patrick O’Reilly

Striding horse by Patrick O'Reilly

This horse by Patrick O’Reilly (1957- ) has been disproportioned in order to be able to stride like man. Even with these disproportions of the croupe, the hind-legs and the head, the horse is still recognizable and really horse-like. It is a horse developed into the direction of a human being, or a symbol of the cooperation between the two. It could also be considered as a modern interpretation of the centaur.
