The three rider of each group are similar, but in the black group the middle and the right riders are reversed compared the red and the white group. All riders carry a lance and sit on their horse in bizarre and tense postures. They give the impression of exhaustion and suffering after a battle. The horses, however, show great strength and stability and seem to bring their riders safely back home.
